Quick Facts about Bristol

The bustling city of Bristol straddles the River Avon – a geography that has led to the city's proud and prosperous maritime history. Now that the big ships dock further down the Bristol Channel, the old city-centre port has been turned into a cultural hub and the Harbourside now plays host to loads of shops, bars and restaurants and the M Shed, a museum that explores local social and industrial heritage. The Arnolfini is fast becoming one of the UK's, if not the world's, most highly regarded contemporary art galleries.

There are reportedly more independent businesses operating in Bristol than any other city in the UK, although we're not quite sure how this is being measured. What we do know is that there are loads of great local florists ready to help you with a same delivery of flowers in Bristol.
